Don't ask Yvette Freeman about the rumored bidding wars over the smash drama ER.

Freeman, a Delaware native who plays nurse Haleh Adams, says she hasn't heard a thing about whispers that executives at Warner Bros., which produces the show, are looking to make big bucks by selling it to the highest bidder -- be that NBC or another network that could desperately use ER's millions of viewers.

"I'm not a contract person," said Freeman, fresh off the treadmill and ready for a day's work at her other job, on the NBC sitcom 'Working'. Her deal is this -- she's guaranteed a certain number of appearances each season an ER -- 16, this time around. And she makes "a nice salary, good money" -- although nowhere near the neighborhood of what George Clooney, et al., take home. "Don't think that I'm getting rich off ER," she said, laughing.

Or, at least, you'd think so.

"I'm kind of happy at this point in time. . . . I'II tell you what I want, two hit shows!" she said. "I've been at this a long time, It's not an overnight thing. And I'm not even there yet. This is just another stepping-stone to wherever else I'm supposed to be going."

Enough about money -- let's talk about love. If Haleh were to have an affair with any of the ER doctors, which one would it be? "Well, she's married with four kids!" Freeman protested, adding that she's not sure when or if, Haleh's hub will make it on-screen. "They've got so many new characters, they don't have time for the old ones."

And if Haleh were to stray? "I'd love to have a little somethin'-somethin' with Eriq [ La Salle, who plays the irascible Dr. Benton ] . But for her... she really wouldn't be attracted to any of those guys. Some EMT would come through the door, maybe...
